Desktop App · Windows + Mac
First Run · Mac Open the .dmg, drag SermonForge into your Applications folder, and double-click to launch. The app is signed and notarized by Apple — no Gatekeeper warnings.
First Run · Windows Windows will show a blue "Windows protected your PC" warning because the installer isn't yet signed. Click More info, then Run anyway. This is normal for new apps and doesn't mean anything is wrong.
Recommended · ESV A free key from Crossway's ESV API powers the passage view in the sermon workspace. Sign in (or create an account), generate a key on the page that loads, and paste it into the optional ESV field on first launch. Without it, the passage column stays empty.
Updates Automatic. SermonForge checks for a new version when it starts and downloads it in the background. The update is applied the next time you close the app — so nothing ever interrupts you mid-sentence, and you're on the new version the next time you sit down to work.
Trouble? If SermonForge won't install or won't open, tell us here — say what happened, your version, and whether you're on Windows or Mac. Once the app is running there's also Help → Email Support, and Help → Open Log Folder if you're asked for a log. Please don't send API keys or passwords.
